Nina hosts and MCs events at every scale, from internal conferences like Mambu’s global summit to industry awards nights like the FinTech Germany Awards. She’s just as comfortable running a smaller workshop or gathering, such as the Liberating Wealth Gathering, as she is holding a stage in front of thousands. Audiences have ranged from rooms of 20 to crowds past 2,000, and she preps the same way regardless of size.

FinTech Germany Awards (2024-2025)
Nina co-hosted the FinTech Germany Awards ceremony as one half of an MC duo alongside Nektarios Liolios, returning for a second year running in 2025. The role went beyond running an agenda: winners in each category were decided on the night, so both hosts stayed closely tied to how the results were unfolding in real time. The evening also includes the laudatio, a German tradition where a figure from the industry gives a short speech honouring the winner before they come to the stage, adding another layer of live coordination to manage. From 2025, hosts also took on a new element: briefly interviewing each winner on stage once they’d accepted their award, then guiding them off before the next category began.
The 150-person room produced two moments that tested the hosting on the night. In 2024, a company due to receive an award was unable to attend after an unexpected last-minute issue, and the category had to be handled differently on the spot. Later in the evening, Berlin’s mayor arrived considerably later than scheduled, and the hosts folded his arrival into the ceremony without breaking the flow for the rest of the room.

Wealth HackerS’ INITIATIVE 2026
Nina was hired by the Wealth Hackers Initiative to host and moderate sessions across the two-day Liberating Wealth Gathering, an event independently funded through grants, in this instance from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. Throughout the year, the Wealth Hackers Initiative invites people around the world to submit their own “wealth hacks” in pursuit of a more equitable, evenly distributed world, and the Gathering brings a number of those contributors together in person. Attendees spanned the wealth defense industry alongside lawyers, financial advisers, people working in the charitable sector, and organisers rethinking how community interest groups operate.
Working with organiser Rachael Burton ahead of the event, Nina took on hosting duties plus responsibility for a dedicated networking session built around 45-minute speed conversations, facilitation of the unconference, and moderating parts of a fishbowl conversation. The two days were held in Amersham for a group of around 50, with attendees flying in from as far as Los Angeles, Sweden and beyond, including Indigenous participants from the US.
Nina counts the sessions among her favourite hosting work for the ideas participants left with, ranging from practices they could take back into daily life to new connections formed across very different professional backgrounds.

MAMBU SUMMIT 2021 & 2022
Nina MC’ed the Mambu Summit twice, in 2021 and 2022, working as a paid host across a full day and a half in Amsterdam. The role covered running the main stage as well as staying present through the surrounding programme, including dinners the night before and after the conference and the closing party. Mambu’s Summit sits somewhere between an internal conference and an industry gathering, bringing in partners such as system integrators and consulting firms like Deloitte alongside customers presenting their own case studies and products.
The brief across both years was to keep the room’s energy up, introduce panels, and in some cases moderate directly. In 2022, Nina moderated a session with Eugene Danilkis, one of Mambu’s cofounders and its former CEO.

How Nina preps: Across FTGA, the Liberating Wealth Gathering and Mambu’s Summit, preparation has followed a similar rhythm: a brief sent over in advance, followed by around two catch-up calls in the month leading up to the event. Nina works asynchronously by default and keeps live call time light, typically 30 minutes up to a total of an hour and a half spread across the lead-up, scaling up only where the event genuinely needs it.
